As a mom, dad, parents or grandparents, I am sure at one point in time you have read with your toddlers some of Eric Carle’s books such as the The Very Hungry Caterpillar, or his famous series My First Book Series that includes My Very First Book of Colours; Sounds; and Shapes.

My Very First App offers some amazing artwork, even more impressive when viewed on the iPad. This __educational game app offers 3 levels of game play and levels increase as kids’ play. Each level helps with learning and recognizing colours by introducing a different matching game.
- 1st level – easy. As with the book series, the screen is split in 2. At the top is the colour your toddler will have to match; at the bottom is an object. You and your kids will need to swipe the object till you find the matching colour. Once you have a match, the answer will be announced and written, in this case “a blue bird”.
- Level 2 – Medium, is a matching memory game. Toddlers are presented with a set of cards face down and kids need to find a matching object.
- Level 3 – Hard is still a matching memory game but a little bit harder. It is a mix of level 1 and 2 where toddlers need to match object and colours such as “green and Trees” “pink flower”.
